Quasar
32 GB VPS hosting · Quasar
Quasar is our 32 GB plan: 8 vCPU, 400 GB SSD, unmetered transfer. Our ARK guide recommends it, and our Rust guide names it for many players or plugins.
Quasar from $49.99/month · USD · availability varies by region
Overview
Eight vCPU, 32 GB of memory, 400 GB of disk. We have fewer measurements at this size than on smaller plans, so each figure here says whether it is measured, documented or community-reported.
Sources disagree. Our ARK guide cites the wiki at 8 to 10 GiB for an empty Island; our idle Island on Quasar reached about 10.5 GiB. It cites other setups at 13 to 16 GB. The guide recommends Quasar, with Pulsar as the floor.
Our Rust guide names Quasar for many players or a stack of plugins. Pulsar is its main recommendation.
In our 2 GB measurements, single-stack figures added up to within about 12 MiB of the combined total. Budget a consolidated server the same way, then verify it under load.
Workflow
Start from a measured or documented figure for your heaviest instance.

The ARK guide says to pick a Windows image in the deploy wizard if offered, starting from Quasar. Checkout shows the images for your region.
Our ARK figure is an idle server. Validate yours with real players, mods and saves before you rely on it.
What we measured at this size, and what we did not.
Our ARK figure is an idle Island. Nobody publishes a figure for a busy, modded server, and we could not load ours.
Check install, save and backup sizes for your titles against the 400 GB disk before you commit.
Daily backups are included and you can keep up to seven free snapshots. Keep an independent copy of data you cannot recreate.

Answers
It is the plan our ARK guide recommends. The guide could not load-test a busy modded server, so size for your player count and mods and watch memory.
Our ARK guide suggests a Windows image from Quasar upwards where offered, and our servers page lists Windows Server licensing from Orbit upwards. Checkout confirms image availability.
Only if your measured or documented memory goes beyond 16 GB. The ARK guide treats Pulsar as the floor for one small map and Quasar as the recommendation.
Nebula has 64 GB. Our ARK guide suggests it for a two-map cluster, by its own arithmetic rather than a test.
Unmetered means no per-GB transfer charge. It does not mean unlimited throughput, and the acceptable use policy applies.
Check your region and current stock in checkout, then test with real load.
