Proxy balance and how usage is counted

Proxies run on a prepaid balance. Every request draws from it at the per-GB rate of the tier in that request's password. When the balance reaches zero, requests stop until you top up, and they resume the moment the payment lands.

Keeping the overhead small

The 672 bytes is charged per connection, not per request. Reusing connections (HTTP keep-alive, which most libraries enable by default) means you pay it once for many requests. It matters mainly if you make very large numbers of very small requests.

Checking your usage

The Proxies page shows usage, request counts and spend per tier, and your remaining balance. If our figures do not match your own measurements, tell us and we will reconcile them with you.

Unused balance you paid for is refundable; bonus credit is not. The details are in the refund policy.
